I realized after a diatribe with you about winners and losers that I sure am a Pacifist.
I hated philosophy in college. The passionate ones were super liberal kooks! I took the philosophy of science and got a D. Could not keep up with the reading. Now I am trying renavigate that stuff. Machiavellism was a big part of the philosophy of science, but I forget the connnection.
